The Screenplay – the beginning of the movie and the making of a movie, for without a top quality script no matter who acts it or who directs the material the movie is doomed before it even begins shooting.

Over the period of film history there have been many stand out screenplays and there are writers out there who are chased due to their ability to craft dialogue suited to the silver screen (Aaron Sorkin as an example). What makes a good screenplay is subjective but overall you are looking for believability within the characters, honest dialogue that feels real and relatable and often a wording of the inner feelings one feels expressed through the medium of an actor/actress.

Serpico: a good retro movie

This is a very good film about corruption within the NYPD back in the 70’s. This is a very good film and had a lot of good messages. But the only thing is he had to pay a heavy price for being honest, but sometimes being honest is worth the cost.

So playing films from childhood again and came across this other 80’s flick. E.T. Phone Home – E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial. So have watched this film at least 4 to 5 times. Oh well. Enjoy the mini clip.

Memorable Movie Scenes

This was one of the most memorable scenes for me in this film. Really good. Its almost like a metaphor for today. The horse was surrounded by sadness and let the sadness ultimately destroy him. so, don’t give up and keep hope alive.

So thinking about old school Classics and remembered this scene as a kid. Man is it violent. But the director was also sending a message. That guy said yes sir to everything, turned into a corporate yes man. And yes, it didn’t work out for him. So I guess that’s the message I got. Until next time.
